European Researchers’ Night 2026

September 29, 2026

As promised, after last year’s success the NanoOddLAB was back for the European Researchers’ Night on the last Friday of Septemebr.

This year, the event took place in a new location in the city of Santader, which allowed for an even bigger crowd of families and science enthusiasts. The 2026 edition offered more scientific outreach programs and idea, promoting science careers to young people and their families, and advocating for the relevance of scientific work to everyday life.

As for last year, Dr. Marta N. Sanz-Ortiz took the lead of the outreach program, preparing new experiment and props to explain the origin of colors and light-matter interactions. The demonstration then moved at the nanoscale, where we show to our audience how these interactions can be manipulated using nanoparticles and nanostructured materials.

Congratulations to the whole team! We hope to see you all in 2027 for another great day of scientific outreach.
