PHOTOPTICS 2026: Pau on In Situ Plasmonic Metasurfaces

April 21, 2026 conferenceIn Situ Plasmonic Metasurfacesinvited talk

Congratulations to Pau for his invited oral presentation at PHOTOPTICS 2026 (NanoPlasMeta workshop) in Marbella.

His talk, “Patterned In-Situ Growth as a Platform for Novel Plasmonic Metamaterials”, introduced a bottom-up approach to fabricating ordered gold nanoparticle arrays. By combining surface patterning with direct in situ growth, the method achieves strong lattice plasmon resonances (Q > 70) without relying on complex lithographic techniques.

The process stands out for its versatility: the optical response can be tuned through pattern design, particle features, and substrate choice, while ongoing work explores added control via microfluidics and light-directed growth. You can view his abstract here

Congratulations on the invited presentation and the work shared at PHOTOPTICS 2026. To learn more about the conference, you can visit the website here
